MCB For Protection Against Over-Current:
Every sb-circuit is required to be protected from effects of over current which may be due to overload or short circuit. The thermal and magnetic elements of a MCB detect both theover current and short circuit and the circuit breaker operates and interrupts the supply to minimise the damage.
MCB For Protection Against Indirect Contact:
An electric shock may be experienced as a result of direct of indirect contact. A MCB when used in conjunction with earthed equipotential bonding can be used as a basic protective measure for protection against indirect. It is important that the maximum earth fault loop impedance (z) of the circuit being protected does not exceed the values given below (Typical).
The electrical wiring is carried out to distribute current from a single source of suply to various circuits, such arrangement of circuits is made inside an enclosure called Distribution Board.
The Distribution Board is not merely an enclosure but a comprehensive system in itself, comprising of copper bus bars, brass neutral links, earth links to facilitate effective distribution of current. It incorporates safety devices such as MCBs, ELCBs and islators, which serves to protect the installation.
A wide range of compact, elegant & economical DBs with unique featurs, designed & engineered to provide user safety, convenience and operational / maintenance advantages are offered.
